Le Bassin Bleu Restaurant

Haiti is undoubtedly known for its breath-taking views, landscapes, art and delicious cuisine.

Now Hempstead village is home to a gem – Le Bassin Bleu Restaurant, a tiny oasis of Haitian culture. “Le Bassin Bleu Restaurant brings with it an authentic experience of Haitian cuisine,” says Stacey Ciceron. Ciceron is one of the co-owners of the family owned and operated establishment.  In our hometown of Jacmel, you will find an example of nature’s untapped natural beauties-‘Le Bassin Bleu’. It’s a waterfall that collects in a still blue basin.”

The family was inspired to embark on a life-long desire to share recipes that have been passed down through generations and start a business. “Planning, preparation, passion and faith in God are the elements that have propelled the family forward since the first vision,” says Ciceron. Although the specialty is Haitian cuisine, their menu is quite diverse.  The menu won’t hurt your wallets either with dinners that start at just $6.
